GDP – It was estimated that Dubai’s GDP in 2014 reached USD 107.1 billion, posting a growth rate of 6.1% in 2014 and exceeding Dubai government’s estimate of 5%, according to Citibank.

Population – 2.2 million people live in Dubai (according to 2013 records) and this was set to increase by 5% in 2014.

Dubai World Records – Dubai is no stranger to breaking world records. In fact, it currently holds 59 of them – enough to warrant opening its own Guinness World Record office in Dubai Media City.
